Spiritual Formation Retreat

Our friends from DTS just left the lake, after a weekend of fun at our retreat. It was a blast for all of us to start off our break by spending time out at Cedar Creek Lake together--bonding and getting to know more about each other's lives. It was rather overcast most of the weekend, but that didn't stop us from taking some cruises across the lake, golf cart rides, and rounds of football. There was plenty of food and fun for all (traditional Linger Longer style), and was truly a blessing to our group! (Make sure to check out the pictures here.)

The other big highlight of the day was the big Tar Heel win against Duke! When the final buzzer rang Brad was leaping for joy and smacked a big wet one on me. (No doubt he's a Tar Heel born and Tar Heel bred.)

We're looking forward to WEC week (World Evangelism Conference Week) at DTS, where we have a week full of missions sessions and mission organizations coming to share with us. Towards the end of the week, we'll head down to New Orleans for a conference and are looking forward to some more change in scenery (and some good Cajun cookin').
