Going to Mexico City

Today, we are leaving Puebla and heading to Mexico City. We have had a great time in Puebla--visiting many missionaries and learning more about where and how they are serving. Brad's class in Cultural Anthropology went well and he really enjoyed spending time with the students. It was a neat experience to do in Mexico.

We will be doing various things will in Mexico City, but will be focusing on doing some Kid's Clubs and activities for the adults in the evening--so that we can share the Gospel with them and teach them more about the Bible.

More updates coming up!

Buses, Classes, and Animals

Well I couldn't be more pleased with the way my time here in Mexico has gone. We've had two days of class so far and I've had lots of bus rides. The bus system here is quite different from what we as Americans would expect. The first time I got on one I almost fell on the floor because as soon as I stepped into the bus, the driver started driving and I wasn't holding onto anything.

I'm staying with the Olivers. They are a missionary couple here in Puebla who have been very kind to allow Lindsey and I to stay in their house while we are here in Puebla. The food and everything else is great.

Oh yeah yesterday Roger Oliver was driving me to a bus stop and we saw in this order a DOG, TURKEY, CHICKEN, AND A DUCK crossing the road and waited for them to cross. It was just something you would never see in Dallas, at least I've never see that combination of animals cross the road.

Heading to Puebla

Well after two days in Mexico we are on the bus heading back to Puebla for our cultural anthropology class. While in Mexico we learned much about the history of Mexico and the culture. We went to an anthropology museum, a palace, a folk ballet, and a giant cathedral to the virgin of Guadalupe. Hopefully in the upcoming days I will be putting more posts on here. For now check out the pictures I have so far by clicking on this link. (Mexico Pictures)
