Well, now it's my turn to be at home without my other half! Brad is in Denver, Colorado this weekend for the Fusion! Conference. He has gotten the chance to talk with lots of people about missions opportunities with CAM...and will be able to plug them into ministries around the world that they woud like to serve in. (At least when we head out of town, we always seem to be doing something fun!)

Tragically, the Rockies were playing out-of-town this weekend. (So much for adding that stadium to his growing list of Baseball Stadiums visited.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, I've been working on my last 2 papers for the semester! Everything will be turned in Monday and I'll just have 2 weeks until I'll be walking across the stage--wahoo! Brad's parents will be coming into town for my graduation, so we will get to celebrate with both families (pictured below)--and we are SO EXCITED to have them come in town.

Wives of Men in Ministry

Lindsey is gone for a few days to a Retreat for Wives of Men in Ministry. I'm excited that she will get to be know and develop relationships with many women her age and many others that are much older. Please pray for Lindsey that this retreat will be an encouragement for her and relaxing time with other women. Also that she'll come home soon :)

Isn't it amazing how you realize how much you appreciate someone oftentimes when they are gone. Although Lindsey is only gone for a few days its odd coming home and not having her here or picking up my phone to call her and realizing I can't. When I got married two years ago I didn't have a clue of how good a job God had done at bringing the two of us together in marriage. There are so many times that I am just amazed at how everything that Lindsey's good at I do poorly and viceversa (however my flaws greatly outweigh those of Lindsey).

Lindsey only has about 8 days before all her seminary class work has to be in and then she is done with her Master's in Christian Education (other than a week long class she has to take in May after graduation). She is very excited about being done and just can't wait to spend the next year working and relaxing a little in preparation for my graduation hopefully by May 2007.
Please pray for Lindsey that this retreat she's at would be a very refreshing time spent with others and growing closer to the Lord.

Mobilization Summit at CAM International

A couple weeks ago we had a Mobilization Summit here in Dallas, TX. It was a great time of fellowship, short and long range planning, and discussion about where CAM International is going in the future. Some of CAM's missionaries from places like Barcelona, Canada, Honduras, Mexico, and other locations were on hand for the event.

Lindsey and I are excited about the opportunity to serve alongside of most of these people this summer as we will be serving in Mexico, Honduras, and in Spain. God is really doing some amazing things in our lives, the lives of those we are helping to send out all over the world, and those that the short and long-term missionaries we are sending out are ministering to. God is good!

Proud Uncle Syndrome

I think I'll always have this disease. But fortunately its a wonderful one to have: Proud Uncle Syndrome. In about a week Sid (my brother) will be coming into town and then a few days later his wife Jessica and their son Carter are also coming to Dallas. It is going to be a fun time hanging out with them, going to a Rangers game, and playing with Carter.

Check out the newest pictures of Carter and Wesley-my first cousin Scott Fenimore's son (left) and my brother Sid, Jessica, and their son Carter (right).

Today marks a month from graduation! Graduation will be the 13th, but I have to have all my assignments, tests, papers, etc, done by May 1st....so 2 more weeks of class work (then just a week of class). It's amazing how fast 2 years in seminary has gone. We're looking forward to the rest of our time here at DTS as Brad finishes up his degree.

Preaching in Murchison

This weekend Brad got invited to preach for the DFW SAMS Chapter. Each chapter of SAMS goes camping out in their RVs once a month and gets together on other occasions to enjoy spending time together. Brad preached on Trusting that Jesus is God during our trials - Mark 6: 45-52. Ina and Dick are a part of this chapter and invited us to stay with them last night... It was a fun evening getting to know them better and meet some new friends as well.

We also had the joy of hearing the "Tender Mercies" a gospel singers trio from Tyler, Texas. They were really good and very encouraging! They sang some great classics as well as some fun new songs as well!

A 2 LEGGED DOG that CAN WALK!

A 2 LEGGED DOG! I couldn' t believe it either, and the neat thing is that the dog's name is faith. Let this video be an encouragement whenever you feel like life is tough and has you down and out. Click on the dog or the title of this post to see the video.

Baseball Fever is Starting!

Tonight was the first game the Rangers played this season at Ameriquest Field. It was actually an exhibition game, but it was great fun. Our Spiritual Formation group from school met up to celebrate completing 2-years of going through the study together. Our leaders are graduating in May, and headed out into ministry, so we were able to celebrate with them as well. Two of our little boys got to go to their first baseball game ever, so it was an extra special night (this is monumental in the Bridges family! :)
