Viewing of Grandpa Beebe
Viewings are hard. Today we had the viewing of Grandpa Beebe in Fowler, IN. I couldn't help but hurt for Grandma Beebe, Lindsey's dad Walter, and his brother Kerry. I honestly can't imagine what it is like to attend the viewing of your father after he has passed away. Sadness. Frustration. Hope. Memories. All combined.
We were really encouraged by how much family came from all over the country to be at the viewing tonight and the funeral tomorrow. There was family from TX, MN, IL, and more that wanted to be here to support Grandma Beebe and the rest of the family (The picture you see here is of Lindsey at our hotel this morning sitting beside a window eating breakfast before leaving to join our family).
Lindsey and I really enjoyed getting to spend time with our family that we rarely get to see. They told us about how they go ice fishing, ride snow mobiles, and endure temperatures as low as negative sixty (yes that is -60 degrees F). Hard to believe huh?
On Monday we are going to celebrate the life of Grandpa Beebe and share the message of hope that we have in Jesus Christ that one day we will all not only join Grandpa Beebe in heaven but also be reunited with Jesus Christ.
