Lindsey's Surgery: Update 3...Lindsey is Home
God answers prayer! Lindsey is home and her pain is decreasing.

Progress:
Lindsey progressed to eating full meals (bit by bit), watching Jon and Kate plus 8 on TLC, talking on her cell phone, and had a Frappuchino brought to her by her friend Shannon this afternoon.
Pain:
Lindsey's pain is improving. The pain medication she's taking is helping out but she's still staying in bed most of the time and trying to rest.
Trip Home:
At around 5:30pm Friday evening they made the decision to send Lindsey home. She wa
s feeling better and the doctor was encouraged by her progress. We then packed everything up, including all the flowers, cards, Baylor Medical water bottle, and one of the cool vomit bags Lindsey fell in love with this morning :) They put Lindsey in a wheel chair and I pushed a cart of all our stuff to the car (I've included a picture of Lindsey with her primary nurse for two days, Tammy did a great job!). I think Lindsey was relieved to finally be going home. We stopped at CVS and the grocery store on the way home and immediately got her inside her parents house and on the couch for a movie.
Prognosis:
She will need to be resting for at least 2-3 weeks but the doctor does want her to be taking small walks every couple of hours. In 2 weeks we go back for a followup appointment. Lindsey's energy levels are good and will continue to increase with time.

Lindsey says: "Thanks for all the encouragement, notes, gifts, prayers, and visits." It means the world to her and to me. We appreciate you walking through this with us but are glad things are going so well now. Lindsey was well taken care of by Baylor Medical Center at Frisco.
Keep in touch.
