National Infertility Awareness Week

This week -- October 19-25, 2008 -- is National Infertility Awareness Week. You may or may not know that Brad and I have been struggling with infertility issues for a few years now. I just learned this week about this Infertility Awareness Week and it happened to be very timely as we just learned that our last round of infertility treatments was unsuccessful.

We would love for you to pray with us as we continue down this path of infertility struggles. All of you who know Brad and I (either separately or us as a couple) know that we have always loved children and have looked forward to having a family for so long. It is a deep desire of our heart and we are just learning to continue to rely on the Lord for strength during this time of hurt.

Now that you are aware of this awareness week, it would be awesome to have you pray for us, to have you keep your ears open for opportunities for us to adopt, to keep us in mind if you know anyone working in the infertility circles that would be willing to give us some discounts/samples/reduced cost for treatment....as not a bit of infertility is covered by insurance.

We know that God has a plan for us and it's hard to see that right now, but we can ask our friends and family to keep praying that God would make His path clear for us and that we can follow it in faith.

DTS is Done (well, almost)

This past week I finished up all my final exams for this semester. That means that seminary is done except for two things: (1) complete my masters thesis and (2) take 1 more hr of class in the Spring (I had to leave 1 hour so we can have the option of staying in the on campus apartments through May).

Sometimes it is easy to take life too seriously. So I decided I'd post an encouraging little video for everyone to watch that is sure to make your Christmas a little merrier.
